Siva Six

DH: Tell us something about your artistical development. How long does Siva Six exist and when and how did you meet? Why did you change the name Wintermute to Siva Six?

S.S-WE MET A LONG TIME AGO WE HAVE WORKED TOGETHER IN MANY DIFFERENT PROJECTS BUT FINALLY WE ENDED UP WITH SS, WE CHANGED OUR NAME FROM WINTERMUTE TO SS BECAUSE THERE WAS ANOTHER BAND FROM USA WHICH WAS USING "WINTERMUTE" AND THAT COULD CAUSE LOADS OF PROBLEMS

DH: Your music is purely electro and industrial. Which roots in a musical sense do you have? Are you an electro or an industrial band?

SS-WE DONT REALLY CARE IF PEOPLE LABELISE US AS AN INDUSTRIAL OR ELECTRO BAND -WE HAVE ELEMENTS OF BOTH. OUR ROOTS ARE SO MANY ....FROM COIL TO PREMATURE EJACULATION AND FROM BLACK HEART PROCESSION TO DAF

DH: Your new album is called “Rise New Flesh”. Is this your first release or had there been other releases in the past? How did you get the deal with your label Decadance?

SS-YES THIS IS OUR FIRST REALESE, WE WERE APROACHED BY 3-4 LABELS BUT THE BEST CONDITIONS CAME FROM DECADANCE RECORDS

DH: “Rise New Flesh” has a very dark atmosphere. In which circumstances did you record the album? Are there any experiences that influenced you when recording the album?

SS- ACTUALLY WE CAN’T THINK OF ANY SPECIAL EVENT THAT INFLUENCED US DURING THE RECORDINGS OF "RISE NEW FLESH", THE ATMOSPHERE AND THE INFLUENCES CAME FROM OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES, OUR BELIEFS AND OUR POINT OF VIEW FOR LIFE- DEATH. ALTHOUGH, WE CONSIDER ALISTER CROWLEY AS OUR BIG INFLUENCE. THE RECORDINDS TOOK 12 MONTHS IN WHICH WE REACHED OUR LIMITS IN MANY WAYS

DH: I like very much the song “120 days in slavery” from your album. What is the song about? Where do get the ideas for such songs? How do you create in general a song?

SS-THE SONG IS ABOUT BEEN HAPPY OF BEING ABUSED AND, OF COURSE, TO ABUSE! WE LIKE THE EXTREMITIES OF HUMAN NATURE.... NOID WRITES MOST OF THE MATERIAL WITH THE HELP OF SUBSTANCES AND THEN WE TALK..AND WE TALK...ABOUT THE FINAL FORM OF THE SONG ( WITHOUT THE HELP OF SUBSTANCES) WHEN OUR TALK IS DONE ....WE TALK AGAIN WITH OUR PRODUCER

DH: Your music is very apocalyptic and sometimes frightened with a lot of aggressions. Is this a reflection of the society in which you are living?

SS- SURELY....ATHENS IS A SHITTY PLACE.....BUT AGGRESSION AND APOCALYPSE COME FROM WITHIN

Do you want to provoke with your music?

SS-THIS IS NOT OUR GOAL....WE JUST WANT TO EXPRESS AND TO EXPLORE WHAT IS INSIDE US....

DH: Do you think you can work with a female singer in the future or do you think that your music is created only for male voices?

SS- YES WE MIGHT USE FEMALE VOCALS IN THE FUTURE, WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT THIS WITH SARAH JEZEBEL DEVA .....BUT WE WILL SEE...

DH: How important is it for you that a song can be played in a club? Are you making music for the dancefloor?

SS-YES IT IS IMPORTANT FOR US. BUT IT IS NOT OUR OBSESSION EITHER

DH: How do you play your music live on stage? Is it not a problem in general to play electronic based music live on stage?

SS-WE USE A LOT OF OUR EQUIPMENT ON STAGE AND THE RESULT IS VERY GOOD. NO, IT IS NOT A PROBLEM FOR US PLAYING OUR STUFF ON STAGE

DH: Which further plans do you have with Siva Six in the near future?

SS-WE HAVE A LOT OF MATERIAL ALREADY DONE FOR OUR NEXT RELEASE AND AT THE MOMENT WE ARE TRYING TO SET UP A EUROPEAN TOUR

DH: Thank you very much for answering our questions. We wish you good luck and many success for the forthcoming concerts. Your last words please:
